MAGIC & ABILITIES

So you want your character to be able to kick some butt. Who doesn't? A lot of the fun of roleplaying is taking a character who can barely lift a stick, and turning them into a beast waving a sword. In order to properly do that, let's talk about how Magic and Abilities are on the site.
First, let's talk about the difference between Plot and Battle magic or abilities. To sum it up, Plot abilities would be what your character can do in a cutscene, while the battle ones are what they can actually do in a fight.
Plot is what you can do in a normal thread, and because of this you have quite a bit of leeway. This is where you can add in unique twists and flairs for you character. An example would be how Tarzan has Wind Armor and Ariel has Aero Potion, both of which have the same effect as the Aero spell.
Battle magic and abilities is what you would actually be using in battle. These abilities would be far more restrictive. Using the example above, Wind Armor has its equivalence in Aero.
You do not need to have a battle version of every plot ability. You just can only use battle magic in actual battles.

The list of spells that can be purchased can be found in the shop, but we're going to go over how those spells should be written out there.
Name: Self explantory. This is the name of the spell, such as Fire or Blizzard.
Level: There are four levels, 1-4. Civilians cannot learn anything past level one, and Union members need to rank up in order to learn higher levels.
Description: What does this spell do?
Cooldown: A rule of thumb is that the cooldown (posts needed in order to use the spell again) should be the level of the ability plus one. Depending on the Union of your character though, there is some flexibility in this.
