Argus landed his Gummi Ship right outside the gates to Halloween Town, the craft firing up into the air as he got off to await orders from its Captain once he was finished here. This world was certainly... different from the ones he had visited so far. It was dark, almost as if it was the middle of the night. The young Keyblade wielder wouldn't have been able to see a thing if not for the light pole on the side of the street and the massive full moon in the sky bathing the area in its pale yellow light. Argus looked down at his clothes, letting out a cry of surprise when he realized that he had changed! His jacket was pitch black now and much longer, hanging down to below his knees.
The collar came up much higher, flared outwards. He now wore a golden amulet set with a blood red gem. The buttons on his jacket had also vanished, a golden chain on the collar holding the jacket's front together. His white dress shirt had turned to an ash black with golden buttons. Argus then noticed his hands and how they had changed, his fingernails being replaced with long claws, his skin turning pale. His eyes were bloodshot and crimson, his eyebrows noticeably thicker and his hair slicked back. Something about his teeth felt different too. Opening his mouth, he touched one of his canines with his index finger, noticing immediately that he had fangs!
The shocked teen ran over to a nearby puddle to get a look at his reflection. There was only one problem, though... as he bent over to look into the puddle of murky water, he had no reflection! 'Am I... am I a vampire!? How!?' Argus's thoughts were panicked, but he couldn't speak. He could only run through the open gate and into the square. The entirety of the town seemed to be decorated for Halloween! At this realization, the boy let out a sigh of relief. He got the idea now. He heard from his Union brothers and sisters that some worlds changed your appearance so that you might better fit in. He wished he got some sort of warning first though. Would have saved him a lot of panic. Strolling around the square, Argus looked around at all the decorations. He always was a big fan of Halloween.
In fact, he was so busy looking around and marvelling at the decorations that he bumped right into Van. "Oh! Ow! Uh... sorry." He chuckled nervously.

Argus happily jogged through the streets of Disney Town, feeling like a kid in a candy store. He had heard of this world from others and it sounded like a good time. Almost like an amusement park! The teen hadn't been to one of those before! They didn't really have amusement parks back home. At least not like this. The young Keyblade wielder looked around in awe at the various stands selling colorful merchandise. Disney Town t-shirts, hats, and plushes, all sorts of cool gadgets... there was even an ice cream parlor! 'Oh yeah, that is definitely gonna be my first stop.' Argus hurried into the shop and sat down, looking at the menu.
There were all sorts of interesting flavors, the vast majority of which he had never even heard of before! There were several flavors he wanted to try, but he couldn't narrow it down to just one or two, so he decided to just buy all of them. Heading up to the counter, he decided to place his order. "Heya. I'd like a... scoop of lemon, a scoop of blue raspberry, a scoop of orange, a scoop of bubblegum, aaaand..." He thought for a moment. The teen didn't want more than five flavors. That might be a little much. Hell, five flavors was a little much on its own, he had to admit. "A scoop of birthday cake." The man at the counter quickly filled Argus's order, handing him a cone stacked comically high with his chosen flavors.
"Thanks!" The teen pulled out his wallet and paid for his treat before he sat down at Lea's table, licking the tower of ice cream hungrily. "Mm-mm! This is great." After he got a chance to try all of the flavors, he leaned over to the redhead. "I recommend the birthday cake. It's super accurate." Leaning back over, he lapped at his ice cream tower with enthusiasm.

Argus grinned sheepishly at Babel when she mentioned that they should get everything ready so that by the time they met their third teammate, they would be impressed by how together they were. "Right. A name is a good place to start too." Argus stifled a laugh at Babel's idea for a name. It was completely ridiculous, sure, but that was just how Babel was. It was endearing, in his opinion. The idea itself wasn't too bad. Before, they were just a rip-off of the Super Justice Rangers. With this, they would really be their own thing! Even if Argus disliked Babel's idea, though, he wouldn't have the heart to shoot it down like that. He was almost certain that seeing her sad would shatter his heart into a million pieces. "Okay, okay. That's a good idea and all... buuuuut, the "Rangers" part seems unneeded since we have the "Fun Pals" part of it." He thought for a second.
"How about just Super Justice Fun Pals? We want people to remember our name too, since we're gonna be the ones making a difference out there, so it can't be too awful long. That seems like a happy medium." He gave his teammate a small smile. Babel kind of reminded him of Elya in the Super Justice Rangers. She was a warrior with insane god-like powers from another dimension with a personality similar to Babel's. Slightly oblivious too, just like her. Couldn't understand when someone was insulting her. Elya was always his favorite. Maybe that was why he liked Babel so much? Maybe that had something to do with it? Perhaps a little bit. Maybe that made Argus more receptive to her, but Babel was her own unique person. That ultimately was what sealed the deal.
"So, wutcha think? Pretty cool right?" Argus hoped that they would have comics made about them in the future. He, Babel, and... some third guy. He wished he at least had a face to work with. Not knowing who their third teammate could possibly be made imagining adventures with more than just him and Babel a little difficult.

Riku's assumption was correct. Argus was so used to doing everything on his own. Taking care of himself, the house, his baby sister... after so long doing everything on his own without help from anyone, it came to be something he expected; being alone. It took quite a bit of courage to ask Riku for advice even in the way that he did. Argus expected Riku to maybe dismiss him once he asked for advice, but to his surprise, the Keyblade Master invited him to attack so he could see where he was skill-wise. It made sense. Didn't want to give him advice that would go over his head or have it be something he already knew. "Right. Attack you." Argus took a deep breath and called Starlight to his hand again. The teen examined Riku's stance... if you could even call it that. He just seemed to be standing around casually. Riku seemed really confident in his ability. Argus hoped he could be half that confident one of these days. 'Okay. I got this.'
The newbie key-bearer first tried to find his stance. He eventually settled on something offensive. At least, he thought it was offensive. His stance was spread, keyblade held out with both hands, the weapon almost perfectly even with the center of his body. "Hey, Master." He had a perfect idea in mind. "Freeze!" He spun his key around, slashing in Riku's direction. A chilling blast of ice crystals flew from the tip of his blade and towards Riku. 'Go go go!' Argus took off, charging in Riku's direction. Hopefully, the Blizzard spell served well as a distraction. He didn't expect Riku to just stand there and take it, so he would keep an eye on the Keyblade Master as he made his assault. Once he got within striking distance of Riku, he would crouch low-- stumbling slightly as he did so-- and aim a haphazard slash at Riku's kneecaps. He would then follow up with a sloppy upwards slash at Riku's torso, then a kick towards the Master's stomach.
"W-Woah!" He tried to hop back on one leg after the kick, having nearly lost his balance and fallen. The teen was silently grateful he didn't though. That would have been embarrassing. Hopefully this would be even the smallest bit effective. He didn't want to fail so horribly in front of someone with the rank of Master. He at least wanted to impress him a little bit, daunting though the task seemed. Even though Riku just wanted to see his level of skill, to Argus, this was a little more personal. He always knew deep down that he wasn't a fighter. But now he was trying to be and he wanted to prove to Riku that he was stronger than he looked. He could do this. He could go the distance.

Argus steeled himself against his foes, waiting for them to strike. The Shadows creeped through the flowers, encroaching further and further on his personal space. With a hiss, the lead Shadow lunged at the young Keyblade wielder... but it never made it to its target. Argus moved to counter, but Riku's Way to the Dawn cut him off, slaying the all of the Heartless threatening him in one fell swoop. Argus couldn't believe it. It was like they were nothing to this guy. Who was this guy anyway? The teen turned to face his rescuer, noticing that it was Master Riku. He had never spoken to the guy personally before, but he had seen him around. Even heard that they were both from the Islands. Riku was slightly familiar to him. Maybe he was part of that group of kids that would play on that island off of the mainland.
Argus was always more interested in his games and comic books than playing pretend like the other kids. Not to mention he had a full time job taking care of his baby sister, Lily. "Uh, hey Master Riku. Thanks for--" Then came the criticism. Argus averted his gaze from the Master, ashamed. He sullenly flicked his wrist, Starlight vanishing in a brilliant gleam of light. "I-I just thought..."
'Grow a backbone!'
There it was again. That voice in the back of his mind. Argus considered it his inner adult. The butterfly in the cocoon as it were. It always said the same thing, but Argus never took its advice for more than a moment. He clenched his fists and looked at Riku in defiance. "I already killed two of 'em! I'm not a weakling, you know." That was true. Physically, he wasn't weak. Just... unpracticed. Unskilled. Argus's expression softened. "I wasn't getting any better there. I... needed to go out in the wider world. The last time I got stronger, it was when I left home." His expression grew defiant once again. Maybe he was just trying to act cool in front of an actual fighter. "If you wanna criticize me, why not give me some actually useful advice while you're at it." While his words indicated he was mad, his tone was one of interest. Like he actually wanted some advice.

Argus had been standing on the cliff overlooking the main building of the Land of Departure. He had been thinking. When he had been training in the Dwarf Woodlands the other day, it became painfully clear to him that his progress was sluggish at best. It was frustrating. He would never get stronger like this. Nor would he find his father if he continued at the rate he was going. The grey-haired teen was snapped out of his melancholic thoughts by a familiar voice calling to him. He turned just in time to be ambushed by a hug from Babel... right when he needed it. He brought his arms around her and hugged her back, waiting until she was ready to break away before doing so, giving her a sad smile. "Hey there, Babel. I'm doing okay, I guess. Just thinking. You seem to be as bubbly as ever."
Babel was something of a bright spot to Argus. She could always be counted on to give out smiles and hugs when they were needed the most, it seemed. They were from different unions, but they could unite for their common goal to defeat the darkness. It was one advantage they had that the unions of old lacked. It might have even been why they failed. But they wouldn't fail. Argus would make sure of that. 'If I can actually kill some damn heartless without almost losing my head.' Argus thought, frustration creeping up once more. He pushed it down, however, forcing a smile in Babel's direction instead. "So, we're gonna be a team then? We gotta have a cool team name if that's the case. I had this comic book, right? It was of this group of superheroes that flew around the galaxy fighting monsters and protecting the innocent. They were called the Super Justice Rangers! How does that sound, huh?"
Argus sounded pretty excited now that they were on the subject of team names. This felt like the start of their own super team! They weren't exactly like the heroes in his comic. They couldn't fly, fire laser beams out of their eyes, and neither of them had super strength as far as he knew, but still! The fact that they were chosen by the Keyblade meant that there was at least something super about them. About him. 'I'll be a hero one day. I know it.'

"Gah!"
Argus moved out of the way as a Shadow Heartless lunged at him, flailing at him wildly with its sharp claws, aiming to shred him to ribbons. "Damn, that thing almost killed me!" A single bead of sweat dripped down his forehead as he held Starlight out in a defensive stance. It was rough and unpracticed. He clearly wasn't a fighter by trade. There were six Shadows laid out before him. He had never faced this many Heartless before and it was proving to be a challenge.
'Come on, grow a backbone!' The boy steeled himself, narrowing his eyes at the monsters before him. "Bring it on!" He charged at the group of little black creatures, swinging his keyblade wildly at them. He struck one in the head as it lunged for him again, sending it falling to the ground. A second Shadow tried to attack him from behind, but Argus had been keeping an eye on it and he saw it coming, so he moved aside and smacked his keyblade into its side, stunning it just long enough for him to finish the first Shadow with a savage blow to its back that cleaved it in two.
The creature shrieked in pain before exploding into a black smoke-like substance, a tiny little heart floating up into the sky before vanishing. He heard that people with keyblades could release hearts held captive by the darkness when they defeat Heartless, so he figured that must have been what it was all about. Argus turned to the remaining five Heartless, holding his keyblade out as he gripped it with both hands. "Stay back! I know how to use this!" That was only half true.
He knew how to flail wildly and sometimes kill things, but that was about it. His skill had certainly grown in these past few weeks, but he was far from being a seasoned warrior. Even a slightly braised warrior. He was the perfect example of a greenhorn.

Argus Estun Weapon Name: Starlight (Keyblade) | Lunar | 17 years old | 5'11" | 165 lbs | Human | Male | Heterosexual | Homeworld: Destiny Islands |
appearance Argus is of average height and average build for a boy his age. His hair is plain and grey. His eyes are grey and unremarkable. He has a plain appearance overall. He isn't incredibly attractive, nor is he ugly. He is entirely plain and boring. His wardrobe normally consists of a buttoned up black blazer and a white dress shirt; his school uniform. Though Argus will at times ditch the blazer and just walk around in his white dress shirt, black dress pants, and black running shoes or just unbutton the blazer if he wants to keep it around. He has a pair of black sunglasses that he likes to wear sometimes,
personality Argus is boring by the standards of most. He has his comic books, his old horror movies, and his video games and that's really all he needs... at least, that's how he used to be. Since awakening to his keyblade, Argus has wanted to become a hero; a true hero. While he used to be something of a coward-- and still can be at times-- he tries his best to be brave in the face of adversity. When he sees someone in trouble, he feels compelled to help them and do his best to swallow his fear and fight with all his heart. While Argus wants to be a hero, he doesn't like to fight and any fight he gets into will be taken on reluctantly.
history Argus was born and raised on the tiny world of Destiny Islands. His father went missing before he was born, leaving his mother to work two jobs and raise Argus on her own. The boy was forced from a young age to learn responsibility, being left alone at home most evenings and doing chores while his mom worked. When Argus was ten years old, his mom remarried and his sister Lily was born shortly thereafter. They were both hard workers, so not much changed. They could both each work only one job instead of two, but Argus was still left to take care of his baby sister most of the time.
When he was thirteen, however, a calamity struck his home. On the night of a mysterious, otherworldly storm, his world was invaded by monstrous beings of darkness. They were called Heartless, though Argus wasn't aware of it at the time. While Argus's world was consumed by darkness, his heart was strong enough to allow him to make the journey to Traverse Town, where all those who lost their worlds to the darkness would end up.
Once his shock due to his displacement subsided, he met the owner of the Accessory Shop, Cid Highwind. He felt sorry for the sniveling kid, so he gave him a job stocking shelves and mopping floors until he could find his family. With the defeat of Xehanort's Heartless, the worlds were restored; including Argus's world. As Traverse Town began to unravel, everyone was sent back home, including the boy.
There he stayed for another two years. But the knowledge that other worlds existed weighted heavily on his mind. He began to think about his father. If he went missing and no one could find him in this world, could he be in another one? Argus intended to find out. During his time with Cid, he learned about Gummi Ships; what they were, how to build them, and where to find the parts to build them.
He went on an expedition all over his world, gathering any gummi blocks he could scrounge up. Making a tiny little pod of a makeshift ship, he absconded from his home in the night to travel to another world in search of his father. Argus was no pilot, though. He crash landed in Agrabah, where he was quickly attacked by the Heartless that were there. Normally, he would have run away, but there was nowhere to run. Steeling his resolve,
Argus grabbed a board from a broken crate and charged the Heartless, aiming to fight them off. A power within him responded to the danger, however, and he obtained his Keyblade. With this new power, he made short work of the enemies. With a new method of defense, the new Keyblade wielder began to gather his gummi ship parts and rebuild his ship, blasting off for another world.
Argus was determined to find his father. Now, with this new power he wielded, he had a chance. If even a slim chance.
