"Oh, you went to a private school or something? That's cool. Probably got a better education than I did." Argus chuckled. "My parents couldn't really afford to send me to a private school, so I just went to a public one." He smiled. "Well, it's a shame we didn't meet sooner. I think we could have been pretty good friends." Then Riku briefly told him about his own history of combat, playing around with his friends and then taking on fencing lessons when he was older. If Argus knew what he would end up doing in his later life, he might have taken on a more proactive approach to learning combat. That would have certainly been useful right about now.
When Riku asked Argus if his countless hours on Knights of Baelorn yielded any concrete results, the teen thought for a moment. After a few seconds, he responded. "Yeah, now that I think about it, I learned quite a bit. I led a raiding party for my guild. It takes a decent amount of strategical thinking to do that effectively. You gotta lead, like, twenty people against a bunch of monsters. I did some Domination too. That's basically the same thing, but you fight against other players to capture different points. So yeah, I guess I did learn some useful things."
Argus stretched briefly before continuing. "Aside from tactics, I suppose I learned about managing people too." He grinned at Riku. "So, fencing, eh? That's interesting. Where'd you take classes?"

Argus frowned and looked at Lea with a saddened expression. He could understand losing hope in a situation like this. Still, it didn't make it any less sad. He resolved, then and there, to find a way to help his new friend out. The redhead mentioned something else that interested him, though Someone named Isa. Argus wondered who it was. Clearly, it was someone important to him. Maybe even in the same vein as Roxas. Then he asked if Argus was sure his father ended up on another world. The teen was aware that world travel was rare. He was even aware that it was unlikely that his father had achieved it. If he did so, why didn't he take him and his mom with him?
Could he truly be a Heartless? Or a Nobody? Or both? If he truly did find his father, would he like what he found? He pushed those thoughts aside. It was a little depressing. After that, Lea said that "He might not be able to recall them, but that doesn't mean those memories aren't there. You've got memories of Roxas too, right? Even if the people we love are gone, they'll still be alive in our hearts if we remember them." He paused after that point, then chuckled. "Sorry. I'm normally not this sappy. I've just... thought a lot about things like this." After his father disappeared, Argus tried many ways to rationalize and cope with it. Until he learned about the existence of other worlds, this was how he did so.
After that, he and Lea shook hands. Just like that, the Keyblade wielder had a new friend. "So, now that we're friends, I gotta ask. What Union are you apart of? I'm Lunar myself."

After their handshake, Argus withdrew his own hand and stretched. Surprisingly, Argus hadn't truly met many Keyblade wielders along the way in his journey. There was Riku and Babel of course, but other that, he hadn't had a whole lot of interactions with others like him. The teen was happy that he got the chance to meet Van. When his new acquaintance asked which Union he was in, Argus grinned and stood proud.. "Lunar. Seemed to fit me the best."
The young wielder nodded when it seemed they were going to go off and explore. "Alright! Argus and Van, off on an adventure!" He grinned and put a fist to his chest. "Sure, let's go." Argus looked like he was deep in thought for a moment , examining their surroundings. "Hm... uh... there!" He pointed to a great hill over the horizon, its black silhouette visible against the giant yellow moon. "What do you say we go there first? It seems like a central location of the world. At least, definitely one of the most prominent."
The boy crossed his arms and looked at Van. "I think we'll work well together, Van. Let's try our best." Argus nodded in determination. "We'll take on anything that comes our way." He gave the other boy a thumbs up. "Now then, onward!" Argus took the lead, walking around the square a through a rusted iron gate. He hoped Van followed him or else he'd have to awkwardly walk back.

"That's the tough part, isn't it? But don't worry. I'm sure there is some way to have them both live. I'm sure a lot of people would say that it is impossible, but there are a lot of things that were considered impossible that have been proven quite possible. From now on, i'm basically coming from the conclusion that nothing is impossible. We can find a way." When Lea apologized about Argus's dad, the young Keyblade wielder shrugged. "It's okay. He isn't dead or anything like that. At least, I don't believe he is. The said he was missing and "presumed" dead. I... can't even remember him, really."
Argus twiddled his thumbs a bit. "But... that makes me wanna find him even more. When I first learned of the existence of other worlds, I knew that he had to be out there somewhere." Argus's new friend then talked about how being near Sora was tough because he reminded him so much of Roxas. "I can understand that. They're kinda supposed to be the same person, so it makes sense that they are so similar to one another." Then came Lea wondering out loud if Sora had Roxas's memories. Argus himself didn't know too much about the subject, but he knew that one's memories resided in their heart.
"If Roxas is part of Sora now, I think it's safe to say that he does have his memories. They're in the heart, right? That being the case, I think he would--" The teen stopped himself. "--No, I know that he would have them." At Lea confirming that he would like to be friends, Argus smiled and extended his hand for a handshake. "Friends then."

When Van apologized for his outburst, Argus shrugged casually. "Eh, don't worry about it. I should have been more mindful of my surroundings." He kicked a pebble on the sidewalk as Van asked him to help him out with this world, then asked if eh was a native. "Me? Oh, no. I'm just visiting." After the other keyblade wielder introduced himself and offered his hand, the gray-haired teen extended his own and shook it. "Argus. I'm a Keyblade wielder too. Though I wouldn't really say "extraordinaire." I'm still pretty new." Argus chuckled.
After introductions, the teen withdrew his hand. "Anyway, i'm just as new to this world as you are. We should stick together though. We'll be a lot safer if we do." Argus grinned at his new acquaintance. "So, you wanna go exploring? I feel like we can explore further if we're together."

Argus winced at the mention of Xehanort. He heard of that guy several times. He was rather important, so his name came up in a lot of the books he read. He didn't know a great deal about the man, but from what he knew and what he read, Xehanort was not at all pleasant. His goals made Argus believe he had to have been insane. Or pure evil. Or both. Thankfully, they didn't dwell on the subject of the Organization's former leader and moved on to another Keyblade wielder in the group, Roxas. He heard a little bit about that guy, mainly just that he was Sora's Nobody and so could wield a Keyblade like him, but apparently Lea was friends with him as well.
That was certainly interesting. The little history lesson Lea gave Argus served well to expand his knowledge. It was a little sad, though. Lea losing his friend and all that. He could kind of relate. Argus lost his father after all. Not in exactly the same way, but he had to deal with loss like that in his life as well. In some ways, he was luckier. The teen knew that his father was out there somewhere. He had to be. Roxas, though... it seemed like he wasn't going to be coming back. "Sorry about your friend." Argus finished his ice cream cone and wiped his hands off on a napkin. "I lost my dad when I was a kid, so I know what it's like to lose someone you care about."
Argus smiled at Lea. "You should try to be friends with Sora. I mean, better friends. I know he isn't really Roxas, but it might help you cope with losing him. I'll be your friend too if you want. You seem like a pretty nice guy."

"Sol? Yeah, he might know. In fact, I think he most certainly will know. Haven't spoken much to Union leaders other than my own though. Maybe I should. Just never been the extroverted type." Argus looked over at Babel briefly as she laid down on the grass near him before turning his gaze back to the sky. His teammate asked him an interesting question though. One he admittedly didn't think of himself before now; why did he want to be a hero? Argus blinked in surprise for a second as he thought over his answer.
"Huh...I don't really know." He bit his bottom lip nervously for a moment. "I guess I just wanna be somebody. You didn't know me before all this, but I was kind of a loser. Still kind of am, I guess. I'd go to school, come home, take care of the house, do my homework, play video games, maybe read a comic or two, then go to bed. After my baby sister was born, I took care of her too. My mom had a new husband, so I guess that helped with the rest of my workload, but I was still a nothing. Just coasting through life without purpose."
He sighed. "When I learned of the existence of other worlds, I wanted to actually go out and look for my purpose. Anyway, when I left home and got my Keyblade, I found what I was supposed to do. I have my purpose now. To help people. Now all that's left is to be a hero worthy of the weapon I was given. I guess that's the long answer." He chuckled softly. "Sorry. Didn't mean to talk that long." He looked over at Babel with a nervous grin.

Argus listened to Lea as he spoke, telling the young Keyblade wielder about his past. Apparently, he was a Nobody and a member of Organization XIII. Ever since he joined his union, he had spent much time in the library, learning about these various topics. While his studies hadn't come too far yet, he was aware of the major things like Nobodies and the Organization. Especially in recent times, those subjects have been very important. A whole war was fought quite recently with the latter, though from what he understood, they were different than the Organization Lea was apart of.
Another interesting bit of information presented itself during Lea's speech, however. He was a Keyblade wielder too. The teen wondered if he was part of a Union and if so, which Union he was apart of. These were questions for later, though. From what Lea said, he was a good guy now. "Wow, you seem to have had a very colorful past." He finished his ice cream and bit down on the cone with a loud crunch. "Anyway, what you did in the past doesn't matter to me. I think anyone can be redeemed if they really wanna be." He shrugged after that.
"Plus, you don't seem like a bad guy to me. How many bad guys go to ice cream parlors and converse with kids?" He chuckled and took another bite of his ice cream cone. "So, you're an experienced Keyblade wielder? That's pretty cool. You didn't wield a Keyblade during your time in the Organization, though, right?" From what he read, Nobodies couldn't wield Keyblades by nature of their "existence." They simply lacked what was needed.

Argus nodded at Riku's advice. If he did go through with that strategy, he would have to be careful not to cast the wrong spell. Might end up immolating an ally when he meant to freeze an enemy. That wouldn't be good at all. "Okay. Thanks, Master Riku. I'll keep that in mind." He filed that knowledge away for later, also making a mental note to train on this strategy to see just how effective it would be in battle. He would also have to try just keeping his mouth shut. That was a method that was tried and true by Riku, so it would be a great strategy to fall back on.
Then Riku responded to his joke about how his combat experience was composed of nothing but playing Knights of Baelorn. He had put in over a thousand hours on that game, almost all of it on his level 147 Battlemaster. If those hours translated into actual combat experience, Argus would have been a swordsman with enviable and peerless skill. If only. When Riku asked if that was a military group, the young Keyblade wielder chuckled a bit. "Oh, no, no. It's an online game my friends and I played a lot of. You play a guy who died during a battle against the Dark Ones, who are like these ancient god-like beings, but the gods bring you back to assist in the fight and give you some cool powers."
Argus chuckled nervously. "It was pretty popular among us kids at school. You're from the islands too, right? We look like we're about the same age, too, so you might've heard it talked about in the halls." He secretly hoped that Riku played it, too, so that they could find some common ground. It seemed like the Keyblade Master was starting to loosen up at this point, so that definitely helped Argus's nerves too.

"Tsk" Argus frowned when his assault proved less than effective, Riku dodging his Blizzard spell and effortlessly parrying away his blows. He took a few steps back and got into a ready stance again, but Riku spoke to him, actually offering advice this time. He was still gruff and a little bit of an asshole about it, but Argus could respect his way of teaching. 'So, I guess I better not scream the names of my spells then. Or maybe... scream the wrong spell names? Maybe mix it up a bit?' Argus filed that away in his mental notes for later.
Riku then asked the teen a question. One about his combat experience. He was almost too embarrassed to answer. The most accurate answer to that question would be "none," but he didn't want to leave it at that when it came to someone like Riku. He was a Keyblade Master. His combat experience must make Argus's look like the greenest of greenhorns in comparison. Though, little did Argus know, Riku's combat experience in general was greater than his own, even before he became a wielder of the Keyblade.
Before he set foot off of his world, even. After a nervous chuckle, the young Keyblade wielder gave Riku an answer. "Uh... I played a lot of Knights of Baelorn in my time." He let out another nervous chuckle to ease the tension after his joke about his favorite RPG. 'Oh god that was stupid. Please don't think i'm stupid.'

Argus grinned at the praise for the name idea, giving Babel a thumbs up. "Awesome! Then we're the Super Justice Fun Pals! Evil beware!" The young keyblade wielder grinned and struck a pose. "Yeah, we'll kill Heartless, halt suffering in the world, and save the innocent!" Args seemed pumped at the idea of their team. This was just what he was looking for. He wanted to be a hero ever since he got the Keyblade, and honestly he probably wanted to be a hero long before that.
Instead of playing a hero or reading about a hero, he could finally be one. While he lacked the skills at the moment being a new fighter and all, he still felt like he could improve upon that. Maybe he could be a Keyblade Master one of these days. Wouldn't that be something? When Babel brought up how people wouldn't be able to forget them when they actually started to go out and save people, Argus smiled and nodded. "Yeah, you're right, we'll make 'em remember us."
He fell back onto the grass, looking up at the clouds. Then Babel asked when he thought they were gonna meet their third teammate, he thought for a moment. "Hmm.. I don't know. Thought we might meet him today, but I guess not." He looked over at Babel. "What do you think? Got any ideas? I wanna meet them soon so we can start actually doing stuff."

Argus shrugged when Lea stated that if he wanted birthday cake, he would have went to a bakery. "Fair enough." He smiled and continued to lap at his ice cream when the stranger went up and ordered his. Argus simply assumed they would go their separate ways after that, but to his surprise, Lea sat with him again. He was glad for the company. Outside the Land of Departure, he got lonely rather easily. Rarely did he travel with friends. Perhaps that was something he should work on changing. Maybe he should ask Babel or Sorin out some time.
When Lea introduced himself, asking if Argus had memorized his name for some reason, the young Keyblade wielder grinned. "You bet I do." With that, he introduced himself in return. "I'm Argus, keyblade wielder." With that, the teen got back to his ice cream, having gotten through more than half of it at this point. This was some good ice cream, so he was able to get through it rather quickly. He felt some brain freeze coming on, though, so he took a quick break.
"Oooh, ow." Argus massaged his forehead briefly before turning to look back at Lea.. "So, what brings you here? Doesn't look like you're a resident of this world. Where do you come from?" Once the pain subsided, the young keyblade wielder began to lap at the diminished ice cream tower once more.

The boy the teen ran into didn't see, to appreciate Argus's absent-mindedness very much. Argus shrank back slightly at being berated, but let out a chuckle when the other teen called him Count Drabula. "Heh. That's actually pretty funny. Nice one." Then the stranger asked for his help. While Argus might be a little apprehensive about helping someone who spoke to him in a manner like he did.
However, the "Count Drabula" line loosened him up a bit, so he was much more receptive to the idea. The young Keyblade wielder grinned nervously with his fangs showing clearly. He rocked back and forth on his heels, his hands in his pockets. "Um... I dunno, help with what?" He let out a slightly tense chuckle. Argus certainly hoped that this boy would be a friend. "Um... i'm Argus by the way."
